Very user friendly setup via Babyware and wireless devices are added with a click of a view buttons. I had never worked with Paradox wireless systems before and it took me less than 6 hours to completely install the system. <br>Worth every penny

I went online on Saturday evening 30/11/19, placed an order for about 6 small items, the ordering system was seamless and the follow up communication was brilliant. To my amazement a courier delivered my items in Northern JHB on Monday the 02/12/19 before 14H00. It's not often I am impressed by great service, but I have to recognise Alarmtec for exceeding my expectations. Thank you to Vera at Alarmtec for great follow service.

Many Questions is asked by customers prior to purchase the Paradox MG5050 control panel - see below answers

Answer:

To program the alarm you going to use the USB307 cable which is a serial cable at the control panel end and USB at computer side – this also comes with a 5 meter extension cable and Paradox software. No other adapters required to use the 307USB.

The system is somewhat pre programed – only zones needs setup and delays if required.
The existing radio is connected to the control panel as very similar to previous control panel (PGM outputs is pre programmed for panic, burglary, open/close status).
The TM50 is currently only available in white colour and can be used with the K32lcd keypad and compatible with Paradox MG5050 panels (EVO, SP6000 also).
Up to 3 x expansion modules can be added(24) to the MG5050, rest is control panel zones(either ATZ doubling) and keypad zones 5 + 3 keypad zones = 32 zones ATZ zone wiring on control panel only = 5 zones can be doubled to give you 10 control panel zones (not recommended for DIY as many installers don’t even understand the concept + fault finding more advance.
Only the 50Va transformer is required for control panel as it got a built in charger.
When expanding to a well sized system an additional power source will be required = PS817 charger, 7Ah battery and big or small metal box(additional expanders can be fitted inside same box then – max 2).
Control panel comes with one REM2 remote - for 2018 panels REM25 remotes - see products description (2way remote to indicate your alarm status e.g. when arming).
The REM15 is only one way but can be mixed with REM2 remotes.

So to conclude, If the wiring is done and you switch on system, program the alarm using the USB307 module, set time and date and that's it.
If you are purchasing the IP150, there is no need to purchase the 307Usb, will also program your system.
The TM50 you can customize drawing your own floor plans using a PC and some photo editing skills to accomplish a basic floor plan for more functionality
