ET Wave Semi-Wireless Safety Beams

Great in principle, complete let-down in practice. Wouldn't recommend these. The unit works as it should but started beeping (low battery) on the day it was installed. Replaced battery with brand new Duracell battery, next day same thing. Fast forward 6 weeks, 2 replacement PCBs, 2 new batteries and a completely new pair and the issue is still not resolved. Silly thing is that the battery is not low - I've lived with the beeping for 3 months now and they're still functioning. Apparently this is a known issue, hence the replacement PCB kits ready to go but it didn't make a difference. The low battery signal from the TX unit very occasionally interferes with the gate opening. Time to get my grinder out and go for wired beams. The integrated light is pretty nice, helpful to see when you're approaching that the receiver has picked up the button press. Not very bright but better than nothing. 2 stars instead of 1 because: - They technically do what they're supposed to, no squished cars (yet) - The rep (Shaun) from Nice really has done his best to try and resolve this
