Optex Infinity-ST

Optex VXI new outdoor series. OPTEX, leader in sensing technology, has launched the next generation of the popular BoundaryGard VX-402 series of outdoor PIR detectors, the VX Infinity, that will bring increased performance and greater flexibility. The new series offers nine models including hardwired and wireless options and for the first time dual technology and anti-masking models are also available. The VXI employs OPTEX SMDA or Super Multi-Dimension Analysis logic that significantly reduces false alarm rates while maintaining a high catch performance. SMDA improves immunity against various noise factors such as weather changes and vegetation sway and will compare targets to several hundred detection scenarios. This enables the detector to distinguish between body temperature and noise, thus reducing false and missed alarms and as with all BoundaryGard devices the VXI range offers genuine, easy set up, small animal immunity. The new range also provides greater flexibility in defining the detection area to avoid over-ranging and the intrusion detection sensors, all come with five pre-configured detection patterns. The more advanced feature versions, VXI-AM (anti-masking) and VXI-DAM (PIR/MW and anti-masking) models use active infrared anti-masking functionality to signal a trouble/tamper alarm if the optical system has been sabotaged. The dual technology models provide a self-learning control to continually adapt the detectors sensitivity to the environmental changes, allowing the product to be installed in the most challenging conditions where catch performance is still imperative.
